This course provides an overview of the current status of employment outcomes for youths with intellectual and developmental disabilities in KY, the key steps in the transition process itself, the legal requirements and the roles of each agency, types of employment available (competitive, supported, and customized), and the development of measurable post-secondary goals for transition-age youth.

The training will equip the participant with a knowledge of the Individual Education Program (IEP) transition requirements for youth with disabilities in KY, the collaborative roles of participating agencies, and specific steps in developing measurable post-secondary goals for youth with disabilities, as required under KY regulations.

Credit is NOT available for early care and education providers
