Lesson 7: Supported Employees
Supported employees are those who have more significant disabilities. Learn the advantages of hiring autistic workers who are nonspeaking and/or also have intellectual disability or multiple disabilities. These workers will be assisted by an Employment Specialist until they are able to satisfactorily complete their assigned tasks independently. We will discuss customized employment, on the job and natural supports, and the many ways supported employees can bring added value to your business.
