Part 2: Record your own Video

When you use OnDemand video, you are using a video that someone else created.

Another use of video is to record your own video.

Record your own video and use to 1) encourage teacher self-reflection 2) coach staff and 3) create your own ondemand video library

For example: You could create a video of you explaining a specific center procedure.

Part 1: On-Demand Video

Let’s start by discussing how you can use “on demand video” to support staff learning.

On demand video is previously recorded video hosted online using a media server or video sharing service. There are video sharing websites like YouTube.com and TeacherTube.com where videos are posted and shared.

You are able to look up videos on these sites, or use video search engines like google.com/video to search across all video sharing sites.

In your handout pages 3-4, we have started a list of websites you can find videos.

Let’s talk now about two ways you can use OnDemand video.

  1. Enhance New Staff Orientation, In-Service Training and/or Staff Meetings
  2. Just-in-Time Learning
